Canberra SJAB
Moto: SJAB's motto is “ For The Service Of Mankind ”. As CCA is an integral part of students' school life, SJAB has planned and implemented suitable programmes consistent with our national educational objectives. We were actively involved in various first aid duties for Sports and Arts Festival and various uniform groups and orientation camps, Where we put learning into practices. Within the Zone 5, Canberra SJAB was involved in Flag day, Walkathon, Inter-Corps first aid and Home Nursing Competition where our Nursing Team came in second position in 2009. We also participated in a photo collage competition where the cadets achieved a Merit Award for their wonderful design. Besides these achievements, SJAB had a wide range of activities to stretch students holistically and to hone their leadership capabilities. Students were given opportunities to go overseas and be exposed to rugged activities like air rifles. With the high levels of commitment from students, officers and teachers, SJAB had managed to clinch the Silver Corps Achievement Award for two consecutive years in 2007 and 2008. This friday notice
Please be reminded that there will be no afternoon training on this friday(1/2/2008). Instead trainees are to fall in and report at 4.45pm for the Chinese New year celebration.Attire: St John tee and shorts Assemble outside detention room. CNY celebration details
On 1st Feburary, we will be celebrating Chinese New Year together in school from 5 till latest 9pm. There will be games and BBQ dinner provided for everyone.Each one of us are to pay $3 for the Event. Pls pass your money to YingRu [in sec 4e3] by this monday(21/1/2008). 11/1 training session details.
There will be training on this Friday [11/1/2008]Attire :St John Tee with track pants. to fall in at: 2.15pm in parade square Activity: Air Rifle @ Bukit Batok Home Team The bus will be here at 2.30pm to bring all cadets there and the session should end by not more than 5.15pm. Hey, congratulation to those who have pass out from both standard and Advance NCO course. We believe that you guys are ready to embarked a new journey as a young leader in the corp.POC rehearsal details: Date: 12/1/2008[rehearsal], 19/1/2008[actual] *both are on the saturday. Venue: St john Ambulance HQ Time: 2pm-6pm Attire: Half U with beret and name tag Items to be brought: 1.5water bottle, Group Flag, Table Label ps: NCO are reminded to have their lunch before attending the rehearsal as meal WILL NOT be provided. Summary on Sec 1 orientation
We had our Sec 1 orienataion held today. Well done to all cadets that are down there helping out in SJAB, you guys had did a great job in the afternoon event.Basically we did on casualty's simulation, taking of blood pressure and displaying of our photos, first aid items and trophys. We gave the secondary 1 students a brief introduction of our cca, the events we did in he past and also the upcoming events. I am happy to say that we had more than 33 cadets who had sign up for our cca. We had met our target which is 30. Good job guys ! We had made an imrpovement from last year cca orienatition which is 27. I hope this will continue for the following years. Cheers, Ying Ru :) Wednesday, January 2, 2008

Secondary 1 orientation will be held on this coming Friday [04.01.2007]. St john will be setting up a booth in front of kitchen room 1.Attire : Full St john uniform with badges Time: 2.00pm Venue: outside detention room Cadets are to fall in by 2.10pm. Latecomers will be severely deal with. |
