Canberra SJAB
Moto: SJAB's motto is “ For The Service Of Mankind ”. As CCA is an integral part of students' school life, SJAB has planned and implemented suitable programmes consistent with our national educational objectives. We were actively involved in various first aid duties for Sports and Arts Festival and various uniform groups and orientation camps, Where we put learning into practices. Within the Zone 5, Canberra SJAB was involved in Flag day, Walkathon, Inter-Corps first aid and Home Nursing Competition where our Nursing Team came in second position in 2009. We also participated in a photo collage competition where the cadets achieved a Merit Award for their wonderful design. Besides these achievements, SJAB had a wide range of activities to stretch students holistically and to hone their leadership capabilities. Students were given opportunities to go overseas and be exposed to rugged activities like air rifles. With the high levels of commitment from students, officers and teachers, SJAB had managed to clinch the Silver Corps Achievement Award for two consecutive years in 2007 and 2008. Knowledge of Order Test
 Hello fellow cadets [: oh goodness; there's only one picture for this post tonight. it's because; about 99% of the time we were stuffed into a tiny room and forced to sit there for about 40 minutes where we concentrate hard on our little test. so how did you guys think you did on the test? Are you confident that you passed? or are you so confident that you're prepared to come back next year :P well as for me, to be frankly honest, i only read the underlined notes once. and i tried to study, but only manage to remember some points on the front page of the notes. well; EOY is coming after all, and i was actually concentrating more on my studies then the KSJ. so i basically just breezed through the test with the process of elimination, and about 80% of the paper, i just chose whatever seems right. but about a few questions had the answers in the questions themselves, so i'm pretty sure i didn't get a 0 [: and while waiting for the test to come to an end; i took a nice wonderful nap. cause i wasn't sure how you going to check a paper where you barely know the answers X: well that's pretty much it. remember; tag about your opinions. this would probably be the last post for about 2 weeks. Oh look!another update [: well there's no training this Friday(19/09) and the following Friday(26/09). because our EOYs are coming up! but still; there's one last event before our EOY comes; Knowledge of Order Test Date & Time: Saturday (20/09); 10:00am-10:45am Venue: SJAB HQ Attire: St.John/PE T-shirt + Track Pants *if you fail to turn up, you need to pay the school $1, since they paid $1 on your behalf. *Please arrive at HQ by your own selves and please report by 10am, Be Punctual! *if you did not get the consent form and notes, please collect from ms.Wang that's all folks [: Study hard for your End of Years! Good evening! :Dwell did you guys had fun at the walkathon this morning? Aren't you guys anxious to see the pictures that we took [: well BAM! here they are :D  aboard the bus that seemed so very empty.  waiting for the commencement of the walkathon. there was plenty of ants on the ground too. Mr.Teo told us a story where he said: "when we were young, we would immobilize the ants and fall them in" Please don't try it at home.       We had to do some warm ups before the walk.     Everyone wanted to take a picture with our dearest chairman :D Mariskaaaa ! :D     and the walkathon began! it didn't seem to be quite a long distance. maybe it was cause we were preoccupied with our songs and chatting. but the walk was definitely hot and sweaty. and along the way; we spotted;  SJAB ambulance!  People!  Don't Jay Walk signs!  Flowers!  and roads!  Our dearest Mr.Teo! :D well; this picture was taken at the end of the walkathon. when we were all settled down and trying to cool off. then there was a lucky draw with 30 prizes to give out. 2 of our cadets, Rizqina and Izzati they won a hair dryer and a coffee maker! WOOT :D then we headed off to KeyPoint to wait for the bus. we had 45 minutes to burn. so we just sat on the floor of keypoint and did nothing.  and we autographed Izati's and Rizqina's prizes [:  and then we finally headed off to the bus. and we went back to Sembawang. This Sunday, there's a walkathon.All cadets are to meet at the 7-11 behind the MRT station, where the old bus stop was at 7:20AM. Remember to have your light breakfast before. Please be punctual. Have a great weekend! Thursday, September 11, 2008
